Montrésor is classed among France's most beautiful villages. The chateau is owned by an aristocratic Polish family, descendants of Count Xavier Branicki, who fled here in the mid 19th century amidst political upheaval. A friend of "Roi des Français", Louis-Philippe and founder of Credit Foncier bank, Branicki restored the Renaissance chateau and neighboring Abbatial church. The Polish nobleman brought along a formidable art collection, featuring important Italian primitive, Winterhalter and heroic Polish paintings and a collection of royal vermeil and silver. The chateau's ambiance has evolved little from its Romantic period heyday.

« La Chapinière vineyard » is the work of three generations of passionate winegrowers. But everything began in 2003, when my husband and l decided to buy the estate. La Chapinière is a dream come true.
In the vines as well as in the cellar, from the work on the soil or on the grapes to the winemaking, our working philosophy remains the same: care, respect, learning, always questioning our choices and doing our utmost to avoid prejudices. After mature thought and to assert this philosophy, even more, we decided in 2009 to insert the association « Terra Vitis » which guarantees that we use an ecologically lasting wine-growing. It imposes rules and controls according to conditions of the Terra Vitis sustainable wine-growing and winemaking specifications, which evolves every year.

4 Chemin de la Chapinière« La Chapinière vineyard » is the work of three generations of passionate winegrowers. But everything began in 2003, when my husband and l decided to buy the estate. La Chapinière is a dream come true.
In the vines as well as in the cellar, from the work on the soil or on the grapes to the winemaking, our working philosophy remains the same: care, respect, learning, always questioning our choices and doing our utmost to avoid prejudices. After mature thought and to assert this philosophy, even more, we decided in 2009 to insert the association « Terra Vitis » which guarantees that we use an ecologically lasting wine-growing. It imposes rules and controls according to conditions of the Terra Vitis sustainable wine-growing and winemaking specifications, which evolves every year.
