It has a vast menu including good fire baked pizzas that they make there. I love the jalapeño margaritas. The Barracks Row one is my favorite because it's close to home.

It's where I sing on some Saturday nights. The "Ladies of Jazz" series runs every Saturday. This is where Roberta Flack got her start back in the day. I'm usually doing my thing once a month. Also the food is excellent and the place is always hopping. There's a nice outdoor area plus inside has two floors. Right on Capitol Hill at Eastern Market.

Okay this is a little secret but the happy hours here are GREAT. Go to the rooftop and you'll love the vibe if you are into live music on the rooftop with a view that overlooks the city. You can't beat it.

The upstairs is so chill and relax. It's on Capitol Hill so fun vibe and on my way home from work ;-). If you walk home from Capitol Hill, you can stop for a nice glass of wine upstairs.

I love this area at night and on weekends. It's great for dining and nightlife and shopping too. I particularly love Hank's Oyster Bar. The Anthem is a great music hall too. Plus you are right on the wharf so there's a great boardwalk.

This place is cool. It always has something going on, ranging from art exhibits, to music concerts, to art classes. Right next door is a fabulous cafe/restaurant too.

This was my favorite nail salon. They used to be the best and are still good most of the time, although a recent visit by one of my guests indicated otherwise. There's one a little bit closer but I don't like that one. My other choice for nails is on Capitol Hill - about a 15 minute walk.

Getting Around
Late nights and around 4:00pm when local schools are in session are not great times. Kids can get rowdy. But if you hold your ground and stay alert there is no problem.
