You've GOTTA go jump into Barton Springs while staying in Austin. This spring fed pool of magic makes Austin in my opinion. I recommend entering through the south gate to sit on the hill under the pecans.

This outdoor graffiti gallery attracts hundreds if not thousands of visitors a day. It's a magical place to visit to see some incredible graffiti in a unique setting. The artists use the retaining walls/foundations of a long ago demolished apartment building. You can look from afar or climb around on the structure. Beware that you may inhale spray paint because artists are working there 24/7. You can get a great view of downtown and the Capitol building from the top of the hill.
