One of Victoria's rare hidden gems for breakfast. You won't need to line up for an hour to get in here like many places, but their food is gerat. If you are hungry and adventurous try the duck confit on waffles.

5th Street is our local pub. They have a pretty good beer selection and decent drink specials. The menu is tasty and is great bang for your buck. Be warned, the service can be slow. It's a great place to watch a hockey game if you happen to be here during the season.

Topaz park is basically across the street. It has soccer fields and baseball diamonds and occasionally hosts large events, like the Highland Games. It has an outdoor workout area which is free to the public, and a playground for kids.

Summit Park is a quick walk away, maybe 10-15 minutes to the top. As the name describes, it is at the highest point of a large hill. Itis a small park but has good views of the city and is a quiet little spot only us locals really know about.

Tolmie is great if you are wanting an amazing view of the city, gulf islands, Olympic mountains, and ocean. It's not as busy as Mt. Doug, and lesser known to tourists, but also doesn't come with a walk through old growth forest.
