Fardowners is our favorite, a local pub-style restaurant right in downtown Crozet near the Mud House. They call themselves a "hippie-sports bar" and there usually is an eclectic mix of locals. They offer a delicious rotating list of local/regional micro-brews with an emphasis on IPAs. The food is fabulous -- burgers, entree salads and make sure to try the "hippie wings" which are breaded portabella mushrooms tossed in wing sauce. (regular wings are good too!). They also serve Sunday brunch.

Humpback Rocks is a very popular hike near the Blue Ridge Parkway and I-64 near Afton Mountain, about 15 minutes from the property. The hike offers a steep 1 mile up and 1 mile back with amazing views at the summit overlooking the Shenandoah Valley. This hike lasts around 2.5 hours, park at Humpback Rocks parking area Mile Post 6.
