Swimming, hiking and beautiful sights!

We'd really recommend hiring a boat and travelling the gorge. It's a great place for swimming but there are also fantastic hikes. If you wish to do great walks with stunning locations check out the maps from All Trails.

Another gorgeous lake with stunning views! It can get busy in the summer so get there early to find a good spot. The water is great for swimming and boating, but can be cold (even in the summer). Again, there are lots of great walks to be done in around the area.

We recently stumbled across these 'Secret Lagoons'. From Vallon Sourn you can head up/down the river to find small swimming pools. This is another favourite of our family as it seems to be quiet most of the year!

The Haut Var capital, Aups is situated not far from Sainte croix lake and the Verdon Gorges.
On Sunday's (8am-12.30pm) the town is filled with people heading to the market. Here you will find the best local artisan foods and crafts!
