The West beach has a wonderful safe sandy bay protected by a rock line and then a long stretch of open sandy beach leading to Covesea Lighthouse and more beach trails beyond. Fantastic for rock pooling beach combing, paddle boarding, coastal walks and relaxing

Walk on the Moray coast trail to enjoy stunning scenery
The Moray coast trail is 72 km long in total with stunning scenery and connects with other walking trails. It is designated one of Scotland’s Great Trails by NatureScot.
Some of the shorter local sections are very suitable for families, especially the connection between Hopeman and Burghead .
