Close to Neighborhood. I love the Vista because they have great beer and wine specials, good food, and their beer garden is fantastic. It is about a two mile bike ride along the trails to here (though you have to spot it above the trail or you'll ride right by it)

Guess what? SA is a bike riding Mecca! But nobody knows this because SA is so low key. But seriously, three blocks from the house (and soon right behind it) you can pick up a trail that goes for 60 miles round trip!! Isn't that crazy? It connects to all the missions and opens from the westside creeks to the SA river, which is quite beautiful. A lovely ride that goes on forever. AND...In the north you have nearly the Leon Creek Trail, the N. Salado Creek Trail, and the S. Salado Creek trail. These three trails all connect (except you have to take some street between N. and S. Salado Creek) and run for about 80 miles round trip. They are fantastic and truly beautiful and hardly anyone uses them.
