I doubt you came to DC for the nature walks, but this is my favorite closest place to get into the wild. Get lost in the fern garden and see endless blooms if you time your visit right. The Bonsai exhibit is stunning in Autumn. If you are a plant nerd you will appreciate how meticulously everything is labeled.
