The small Hart bakery at the south end of the inner-harbour bridge has delicious food and great coffee. There is space for seating inside and there is a long terrace outside with seating and tables that look out towards the opera house.

This is a small yet beautiful public garden from 1920 with paths, benches and a shallow pond in the centre. The royal library is right behind the park and worth a visit too. It is connected to the modern part called 'the black diamond', which is right by the water.

This is an incredible museum in art and ancient history - it has everything from from ancient Greeks, Egyptians, Romans, as well as French modern artists and Danish works. Entrance is free on Tuesdays.

The Kings's Garden is a beautiful, peaceful large park in the center of the city. Established in the 17th century and located right next to Rosenborg Castle, it is a great destination all around the year.

City/town information
If you are in town for more than just a weekend, you may want to cross the striking Öresund bridge to visit Malmö in Sweden. It only takes about 20min to cross. In the city center, Lilla Torg is a cobblestone square with cafes, half-timbered houses and shops selling local handicrafts.

In residential Frederiksberg, locals relax in the gardens surrounding the Italianate Frederiksberg Palace. I highly recommend going to the gardens. It is a place where you can be in the center of a city but still away from city sounds.
