*North Haven & Surrounding Beaches*-
It goes without saying, North Haven is a beautiful strip of coast. The sandy wide beaches and calm waters make this a perfect location for swimming. If you would like to explore more of the coast, take a walk from North Haven to Largs Bay, and continue onto Semaphore using the beautiful boardwalk. Visit the Largs Bay Pier and Semaphore Jetty, and take a pitstop at one of the many eateries on the way, maybe grab an ice cream at the Largs Bay Kiosk or a cold drink at the Largs Pier Hotel.
Being so close to the Marina and the Yacht Clubs, you can enjoy watching the recreational sailing boats or the regatta racing events if you are visiting during competition season. Largs is often frequented by windsurfers and kiteboarders so there is always much to see.

Semaphore jetty is a perfect place for a stroll and a great spot to enjoy the stunning sunsets and view of the foreshore- this is particularly pretty during the summer carnival as the lights from the sideshows illuminate the sky in the evening.

Its calm waters are home to an array of sea life and is in fact part of the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary, which is considered to be one of the most easily accessible Dolphin Sanctuaries in the world!
Gulf Point Centre, which houses several restaurants at the Marina, offers stunning views of the precinct. The Sailmaster Tavern has recently been refurbished and offers a lovely deck – a great place for a drink on a lazy afternoon. Other dining options include the Bollywood Grill, Palermo Café, and Marina Chicken & Seafood (Take Away)

The Marina is a beautiful place for a walk with paved walking trails that weave around the waters edge. Its calm waters are home to an array of sea life and is in fact part of the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary, which is considered to be one of the most easily accessible Dolphin Sanctuaries in the world!

Whilst in Semaphore you may like to grab a bite to eat at one of the many cafes, restaurants or pubs, do a spot of shopping, or take a ride on the vintage carousel (the oldest working carousel in the southern hemisphere) or steam train located at the large green foreshore.

“South Australia has a unique maritime history, the evidence of which can be found along the Garden Island Ships’ Graveyard Maritime Heritage Trail. The ‘graveyard’ contains 25 abandoned barges, ferries, sailing ships and steamers, disposed of in the shallow waters of Port Adelaide between 1909 and 1945. The site is both educational and eerily beautiful. Discover the half-scrapped boats, sunken vessels and green mangroves growing from the hulls.”

The Largs Pier Hotel (est. 1882) is a stunning bluestone building adorned with archways that overlooks the Lefevre Peninsula. It offers bar and dining facilities, and is a lovely spot for a drink and a bite to eat.
