If you love live music with ocean views this is a great spot, and the only one on the beach this side of town. Its very much a dive bar for many of the locals. I wouldn't call it a family restaurant, so if you are looking for a great meal with the kids I would probably shy away, but definitely recommend checking it out if you are looking for a fun night scene within walking distance! It's worth noting that they do have a pretty delicious breakfast menu as well! I would choose this option over the Atlantis Pancake house any day.

Food scene
If you're trying to decide between Basils or Babakas - Basil's is going to be your better pizza option. They stay very busy during the on season! Babakas does have different hours than Basil's though so its good to have both options. All of the food at Basil's is fantastic so you wont be disappointed. If you are looking for something to do with the kids on a rainy day, you can order pre-made dough and have a make your own pizza party! We often order to-go options to have on the beach for lunch.

The food at Hurricane's is excellent and is the best dinner spot I could recommend within walking distance. The night life at Hurricanes is a much different vibe than the day crowd. The owner and her son who manages the restaurant are sure to make it a unique experience.

The Boardwalk Beach Cafe is located at the Cherry Grove fishing pier. There is paid parking next door and across the street in the deck. Food is ok, but its obviously a great ocean scene and fun activity to grab a drink and walk the pier.

Hamburger Joes is my favorite burger joint in town! it's a classic, simple, cash only joint so if you're expecting an elaborate burger this isn't the place. Service is always quick and friendly so if you love a delicious burger this is worth the drive.

The IGA - Bolineau is locally owned and operated. As you will see they own a good portion of the businesses on this stretch of Sea Mountain Highway. I personally believe the local dolphin tours are definitely worth the money! I recommend the Sea Screamer or the Sea Thunder!
They are both owned by the same local family and are all around great folks! if choosing between one or the other I personally prefer the Sea Screamer!
Either tour is a 2 - 2.5 hr boat ride up the intracoastal and out the jetty into the open ocean where you will see dolphins! you'll see large pods, and other trips you may only see one or two but it's a nice way to get out on the water and enjoy a boat ride! either way though, you will get very wet so be sure to plan accordingly.
The Sea Thunder leaves out of the Harbourgate Marina which is about 6 mins from the condo. the tour is about 2 hrs and you will idol through several no wake zones for about 20 or 30 mins before the boat gets breezy. On a nice day the extra 20 mins a nice extended ride but on a very hot day, I would suggest riding the Sea Screamer to skip the no wake zones.

Aloha Pairsailing and Banana Boat rides is just across the street on the beach in between Snookys and Murphy's. If youve never tried it I would definitely recommend! You get about 10 minutes of flight time and around 45 mins to an hour total on the boat. If you want the best chance of seeing marine life below while in flight I would recommend going first thing in the morning. This is also the best way to avoid waiting in a long line also.Whether you make a reservation or not, you will spend longer waiting in line for your turn on the boat than you will on the actual adventure. The staff is fun and the vibes are great! Trust me...go and go early!
Myrtle Beach Watersports is a great place to rent jet skis or a pontoon for the day so you can get out and explore the water way or cruise out into the open ocean! They have a great interactive tour guides and are dedicated to safety and fun while out on the water! With many different companies to choose from along the ICW, I recommend Myrtle Beach Watersports above all else.

They offer a variety of different horse back tours, including my personal favorite tour along the beach on Waities Island. If visiting in the fall you will be sure to find mint condition sand dollars along the shoreline.

Boardwalk Billys has the best service in town. One of the best places to find decent sushi and reasonably priced drinks. There is a nice view of the marina and typically have live music as well! This is a locals favorite spot also!

Archie's is an all out biker bar. They have live music most nights and the food is pretty standard. it's a great lunch spot for families if you can grab a table along the water. This is a hot spot for night life as well!

Blue Drum is an upscale new waterfront restaurant. They are still getting their feet under them as a new restaurant but all the food is excellent and they have a huge patio and bar with plenty of seating and standing tables on the dock as well.

Be Known Coffee has become my favorite local spot for coffee and espresso! The owner, Ron is a very sweet man. Veteran owned and operated. Prices are great and he brings in breakfast pastries and baked goods from local small businesses.

Only local coffee shop that offers CBD shots (and they are strong). They also sell little trinkets and artwork. The wait time for your order can be pretty extensive even if there are very few customers in line so I would definitely recommend this option only if you are patient and have time to spare.
