Ramblin Wombat

Great place for home grown locals food. Delicious!

Ramblin Wombat offers amazing sunrises and sunsets almost year resound as long as the skies are clear. Be sure to set an alarm for 6am so you can wake up see the sunrise even if you decide to sleep in, it's worth it!

Bring comfy slip-on shoes to travel from the hot tub to the sauna and when getting firewood and around camp. Do not forget your bathing suit.

Get a bottle of 704 if you like delicious white wine. White barrel is located only 10 to 15 minutes from the cabin.

Left out of the driveway. Left onto Indian Valley Road. Right onto White Rock Road, take to the very end. Right onto alum ridge then immediate left onto Posey, take Posey's short run to the end. Left onto Ridgeview, take to the end. Take a right onto route 8 and follow into Floyd.

Please don't build raging fires in the Hot tub. It was not designed for overly hot fires. It does not require a huge fire to heat already warm water back to hot. Be mindful and use fire starters sparingly. One small block of fire started with provided hot tub kindling is enough to heat the hot tub.

During summer different campfire wood is provided to use during your stay. Piled pallets and other scrap lumber can be burned in the firepit. If they are there they are for your use, burn them if desired. During frigid winter months the cabins wood stove provides tranquilizing heat and cozy environment. Use the provided kindling and fire starters to get your fire burning then add sticks of provided firewood on the porch. Firestarter's and kindling will be provided and marked for your convenience.

Bring cozy pajama pants and sweaters for lounging around in the cabin.

Bring Marshmallows and items needed for smores. If you don't want to build a campfire because of the cold a woodfire can be built in the living room wood stove and marshmallows and hot dogs, be roasted inside. Be sure to get the stove good and hot so it does not smoke up the cabin with the door open.

Bring enough groceries with you for your stay. cook in the kitchen or on the provided grill. House coffee and creamer is provided.
