Hotsprings
A beautiful Hotsprings just north of the Great Sand Dunes National Park with an Olympic sized swimming pool with a temperature ranging between 101-105 degrees and a hot pool at 109 degrees, there is also two children’s wading pools, one with a water slide.
The greenhouse has four hot pools and a long walking pool, they range between 99-109 degrees , this section is for adults only. Both areas serve food with different menus but the food in the greenhouse has exceptional gourmet food which I think is very good.
This is a great place to soak after hiking the sand dunes or perhaps a leisure day to read a book and sunbathe. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

This is a very special place located in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo mountains nestled in the forest with dark skies to be able to see the entire Milky Way, they also have two powerful celestial telescopes for your viewing pleasure. This resort is clothing optional. It’s our go to resort and we highly recommend it, reservations is necessary.

This resort is clothing optional. It’s our go to resort and we highly recommend it, reservations is necessary.

The Orient Mine is the home to a quarter of a million Brazilian Free Tail Bats (June thru September). It is quite the spectacle to see at sunset when they stream out of the collapsed iron ore mine. Valley View Hotsprings offers a guided tour free of charge every evening beginning at the office. The tour is a one hour hike up to the mine.

Crestone is a cute small town nestled at the base of the Sangre de Cristo mountains with four mountain creeks that flow from high mountain lakes, it’s a true haven for hikers and climbers because in our backyard we have five fourteeners with spectacular views, simply breathtaking. There are also numerous spiritual centers here along with three Stupas and a Ziggurat which was built by the King of Jordan. The spiritual centers range from Carmelite Temple,Zen center, Baptist Church, Ashrams, Tibetan Buddhist temples, Shumei International Institute and many more.

Here in Crestone we have an Art Gallery, gift shop, gas station, health food store, super market, post office, and a liquor store. It is also the gateway to the north Crestone Creek trailhead which will take you to Kit Carson Peak.
