Great atmosphere - fun lakeside restaurant with bar that is both formal/informal. Boating crowd during day followed by more formal but fun evening crowd. Kids/adults. Awesome outdoor patio. Closest restaurant to our house on the lake.

Another awesome lakeside restaurant :-) Similar to 6Smith but with a larger outdoor patio. Both Cov and 6Smith are right in downtown Wayzata so you can stroll around the shops while there.

Best spot for ice cream selection in Downtown Excelsior. There is also a great little food Trolley with ice cream and some snacks down by the water - they just have a few less ice cream selections.

You can call here to book a lunch cruise - price varies but it is in the $30 range for lunch plus cruise around the lake. I've done it and it was great...very relaxing.
You can dress up or show up casual... Sometimes the boat captain tells you about the people living in the various houses on the lake.
