A visit to the capital, Valletta, is an absolute must. Bursting with history, magnificent attractions and things to see and do. Founded by Jean de la Valette, the Grand Master of the Order of the knights of St. John who gave it its name, in 1566. The capital is full of architectural scenery. The city is protected by impenetrably thick walls which were built to defend it from the Ottoman invasion.

Designed by renowned architect Renzo Piano between 2011 and 2015 as part of the City Gate Project, the striking limestone Parliament Building is the meeting place of the Parliament of Malta. Whole it’s largely closed off, there is much to observe from the street.

Works in this Pjazza had started early in 2017 and the 'Triton Fountain' had been restored to its former glory. Definitely worth to visit this spot and grab an ice-cream from one of the stalls surrounding the Pjazza.
