These arcades, opened in 1826, have enjoyed a stylish renaissance. The walkways, mosaic marble surfaces and arching glass roofs have been painstakingly restored. The arcades house fashionable shops and cafés. The galleries are to be found right next to Place des Victoires. There are also some galleries that come off the Grand Boulevards, near the Grévin wax museum going west towards Opera.
