All of these, plus sandwiches, tea and coffee are also available at the adjacent café. Bakery is open Mon-Tues 8am-1pm, Wed-Sat 8am-2pm and the café is open Wed-Sat 9am-2pm and Sun 9am-1pm

In addition to being able to tour this grand house, green tranquil walks, modern sculpture and family fun await you in the gardens and parkland designed by ‘Capability’ Brown in the 18th century. The sweeping vistas in the parkland across to the spires of Stamford also act as the setting for the Burghley Horse Trials, an internationally acclaimed equestrian event which takes place each year.
