This park is big and is a local favorite to hang-out & have a beer/bbq! It has nice patches of grass, swings & sand amidst the birch trees & a concrete loop for Skateboard & roller amateurs. It has multiple facets, some area's are quieter, others booming with music & life --> don't miss the Sunday flea market, one of the best in town.

Humboldthain is slightly further but worth the trip: it has a Rosegarden, a Anti-aircraft tower from WWII with breathtaking view of Berlin, an outdoor pool for summer days (reservation required)

Farmer's market are a staple of Berlin culture, they offer great street food options, fresh veggies but are nowadays also a social gathering to meet-up & chat.
The hippest Saturday farmers market of all: Okomarkt am Kollwitzplatz --> Ideal to grab some pommes und curry wurst or a nice glass of riesling! Careful it gets pretty crowded on sunny days.

The Markthalle in Kreuzberg have a lot to offer, it's in an old train station so it's covered... which has it's own perks on a rainy day. The building is beautiful and food is great! It has great options for both vegetarians and meet lovers, I recommend the burger from
