This restaurant has shaded outdoor seating and a live band on Saturdays. The best burgers in the area and some say the best onion rings too. it has a beautiful view and sometimes you will see bikers there. The people who run the place are very nice.

This restaurant has the best fried mushrooms in Texas and a great spinach wrap. They have bands a couple of times a week and even poker nights.
It is situated on the historic downtown square in Burnet with antique shops around it. Very nice to stop in and regroup during a long day of antiquing.
They also have an old fashioned candy store within the restaurant if you haven’t been able to find a Mallow Cup in a while.

Antiquing
Burnet has the most and best antiquing stores in this area of the Hill Country. My antique dealer friend comes for shopping weekends here and there is never enough time in the day to see every shop.
This place describes itself as an “indoor flea market”. It is huge and is like an antique mall but with very, very good prices. I hate to give away my and my antique dealer friend’s best-kept secret but this is a really good time if you like to shop all day. We rarely have time to go anywhere else because it is so vast.

This place has the biggest selection of pottery I have ever seen! The huge pots on the back patio and the swing were purchased here. The selection of large pots is amazing and then, you go inside and will be blown away by the sheer magnitude of selections of decorative items. It is so much fun to look here. They also have live donkeys and chickens!

Now, it can be smoky, but the back of the bar where the pool tables was sufficiently clear enough for my friend's sensitive sinuses on a very smoky night. They have live bands on weekends and many times a very lively crowd. Many people who go to this bar never met a stranger. Sit at the bar towards the back end for a night of many friendly conversations and fun!
