Berean Park is a very close walk from the house, has a playground, outdoor grills, a covered area with picnic tables, a lovely lake that one can swim in all summer, brand new tennis courts that double as basketball courts and access to 5.5 miles of hiking trails.

This is a paved 4-mile east–west rail trail stretching from the Hudson River through the hamlet of Highland. It goes all the way up to the Walkway over the Hudson (WotH); a walking bridge that goes across the Hudson river into Poughkeepsie.
We have an entrance to the rail trail walking distance from the house. There are also several parking lots along other entrances so it is easy to drive to a lot closer to the WotH in case you are looking for a shorter walk.
Trail is great for strollers, bikes, kiddie scooters and legs. The snow is shoveled all through the winter as well.
