Be VERY careful when beach walking at dusk and/or dawn. Nesting sea turtles -- a protected and beloved Topsail Beach sea creature -- are more active during these times. DO NOT disturb, touch, or interact with any sea turtles. DO NOT touch their nests, eggs, or trespass on fenced nesting areas.

Sand Dune Law: DO NOT trespass on protected dunes/berms.
Fine = $500 for trespassing -- walking, running, standing, jumping, playing, digging, laying on -- sand dunes/berms. Strictly enforced by North Topsail Beach.

Sea turtles -- a protected and beloved Topsail Beach sea creature -- are very frequently injured/killed, or become trapped, by falling into holes that have been dug in sand. DO NOT leave open holes -- no matter how big or how small -- ANYWHERE on beach. Fill in all holes...completely! [Holes are also a dangerous human safety hazard, often causing bodily injury.]
