Parikia is the main port of the island with direct connection to many beaches, Antiparos (only 5 minutes away by boat!) as well as many other islands making it an ideal place to stay as well as an island-hopping destination. Parikia is filled with little streets typical of Cyclades to get lost in and admire the whitewashed buildings and the old mansions. Parikia offers many options for island shopping, little cafes, bars, restaurants, taverns and hidden gardens to explore. In Parikia is located one of the most important Byzantine churches in Greece, Panagia Ekatontapiliani (Our lady of the Hundred gates) which is must-see monument as well as the 13th century Frankish castle offering stunning views of the port and the Aegean sea.
