Kermit's is a local "greasy spoon" that townies visit after a "long night out." You don't go for the scenery - you go for the post hangover menu. Consider walking - parking can be a challenge.

Everyday People is a hidden gem. It is directly across the parking lot from Kermit's. Everyday people is a little more refined and the scenery is a little less worn. Fantastic food.

If you like a good steak, this is where you are going to find it. In my opinion, this is the best steak in Ohio. Order the "brown jug" and get it cooked medium. The place is small and cozy. We LOVE it, especially in the colder months. It can be tough to get in - because the venue is small and the product is so good! Tracy is our favorite server. Tell her you are guests of the Bostdorff's and she will treat you extra well!

Right down the street! Great beer and an AWESOME outdoor venue. This brewery is tucked into a secluded area and it makes for a great space. Stake your claim near a fire pit, enjoy outdoor music, and if you are lucky - there might be a food truck there. Very walkable from the AirBNB. We like to walk up there after dinner and enjoy a fire. You can order food from almost any local eatery and have it delivered.

Not walkable unless you need your steps for the day - BG Beerworks was the first local brewery in town. Awesome product and very unique venue. What started as a hobby in a storage unit turned into a local favorite.

Juniper is quickly becoming a favorite of ours. Not only do they have great beer, their food is outstanding. Try the street taco board - it is a feast and easily feeds 4-6 people. Located downtown right next to Waddington Jewelers - fellas, lock up the wallets because beer and diamonds are a dangerous mix!

We frequent "Rev's" often. They have a nice menu and a pretty great bar. I am a big fan of their Cuban Sandwich and my wife loves the sweet martini's. Try the fried green beans and if you don't try the "rapture dip" you are missing out.

This place is not in Bowling Green - it is in Perrysburg. About 15 minutes North. Inside the Five was started by a professional punter in the NFL. Thus the name. It is ALWAYS busy. If it is just the 2 of you, you might wait 30 minutes. If you are a larger party expect an hour wait. Awesome atmosphere and insane beer. My favorite? The "Dumpster Fire." It is a Blueberry Vanilla Porter with a Ghost Pepper finish. It sounds like a disaster - it is dumbfounding how good it is. I am a bit of a rueben snob, but I think the one on their menu is in my top 5. The "IT5 Burger" is a solid choice as well.

This place is a total sleeper. It is located in a strip mall next to Family Farm and Home but don't let that scare you. If you like Sushi - I kid you not - this place stacks up to Tea Tree and Japan West. The Godzilla Roll is fantastic. The sushi roll presentation is awesome. If you prefer hibachi, the chef will squirt saki in your mouth from a bottle while he flips shrimp into the air for you to catch. It's entertaining and you will not go home hungry or broke.

This place is owned and operated by a good friend of ours, Kevin. He graduated from the same High School as my wife and I. His wine crafting was learned while working on South Bass Island in Lake Erie and he decided to bring his skills to BG. If you like good wine, you won't be disappointed with the product or the hospitality.

Sightseeing

The Slippery Elm Trail is a "rails to trails" path that extends from Bowling Green to North Baltimore, Ohio. It's about 13 Miles one way. The start of the trail is at the end of South Maple Street. You about 1 block away to your afternoon walk! Expect to see deer and a lot of birds!!

Wintergarden park is a great little place to get away for a few hours and enjoy the walking trails. Bowling Green is not a huge town, so this isn't a huge park - but allow yourself to get lost in the beautiful scenery. Really peaceful.

Stuff to do

I tried to hide this place from my wife for a while, but she eventually found it. Really cool outdoor shopping center with plenty of places willing to take your money. Cinema, restaurants, and shops. Enjoy!

Axe Throwing. Release your inner barbarian. I was skeptical as well - but it is really fun. You have to wear close toe shoes - for obvious reasons. Unless you want your nickname to be "Nancy Nine Toes."
