Watauga is a very small town of less than 500 people. We have one restaurant Country Diner open for breakfast and lunch Tuesday-Saturday, a Dollar General 2-3 blocks away, and a volunteer fire department. Most of the nearby homes are owned by the occupants and very pleasant neighbors.
