Tipsy Bear Bistro is an excellent choice for dinner. Less than 15 minute drive from the cabin into West Branch. The food is great & the atmosphere is comfortable. Be sure to make a reservation.

Trail Riding

There is no better way to appreciate St Helen's biggest attraction (the trails) than to rent an RZR from RIPN Rentals. You can stay nearby and hang out at the sand bowl or take a short ride to a nearby town for dinner.

Things to do

Online Review says: Beautiful course, lots of elevation and sweeping fairways. Enough blind hills, corners and traps to keep you on your toes. Greens were in great shape and pin placement required some strategy in putting/chipping. Entire course was challenging enough to make you work, but not enough to frustrate you. Staff was super friendly (both pro-shop and snack bar). Very clean and well upkept clubhouse and course. No bar or liquor license, but they provide a cooler and ice with each cart and informed us when we made our tee time to bring our own drinks.

Online Reviewer says: Hard to pick between the two, Nightmare or Dream. You won't find back-to-back better public courses in all the midwest. Run by the two Cooty brothers who bend over backward to make sure everything is just right. Good snack bar. The rangers are very polite and accommodating. Good pace of play. A must visit on every golfer's bucket list

July 7th- July 9th The first Bluegill Festival in St. Helen took place in 1949. Consisting of archery contests, fishing contests, coon dog field trials, a ball game, banquet, and grand parade followed by the crowing of a Bluegill Queen the event has lived on for over 6 decades. The festival takes place each year in June. It begins with an opening ceremony and kid’s parade on Thursday evening as vendors set-up for the action packed weekend. The beverage pavilion also opens up for business and the carnival rides are up and running. Friday and Saturday is full of excitement. In addition to the amusement park rides provided by Schmidt Amusements the festival includes crafter demonstrations, live music and entertainment, vendors, kids games, a medallion hunt, and great food. Saturday wraps up with the Grand Parade and Awards Ceremony. There is something for everyone and tons of fun for you at Exit 222.
