It is right next to Newborough forest which has a myriad of walks in a forest setting and is abundant with red squirrels and ravens. Truly a great day out - take a picnic as there is only a small food van on site. Another lovely place to walk dogs too

A simply stunning island on an island. It’s a great place to visit and also walk the beaches. Bodnant RoadIf you haven’t visited Anglesey before and indeed haven’t visited the lighthouse you simply must. The views are breathtaking, there’s a fabulous RSPCA centre where you can watch a multitude of birds including the puffins.
If you want to travel down all the steps to the lighthouse you can buy a ticket to climb to the top of the lighthouse and the tour guide gives you all the information you could ever want about the history and how it works.
We go many times and we live the place it’s an iconic area and one we love

You can be a total novice or an expert rider - this school has something for all types of abilities.
We love riding here, they have canters and also more advanced riders can gallup on the beach as it’s located right on the Menai starts. It’s truly glorious riding a horse in such beautiful surroundings

There are so many trails through the forest and lots of wildlife you can also visit llandwyn island which is very picturesque and is a must for a selfie. It’s not every day you’d visit a power station but this one is totally underground!! There’s a tour you can take and it’s fascinating to see how much they have excavated into the mountain.

If you want to see the Menai Straits from the water this is a high adrenaline ride with a great tour of the good and the great who own the large houses in the waters side. A lovely morning or afternoon out. You can always grab a coffee or something stronger at Dylan’s which is just next door!
