Definitely my favorite restaurant in Telluride. The food is superb and the service impeccable. I also feel like it has more choices on the menu than some of the other high end restaurants. It does come at a price, so please check the menu on line if you're on a budget.

Also a favorite! The food is excellent and so is the service! This is our "go to" for busy times, they have 4 dining rooms, so you can almost always get a table.

Recently renamed Le Petite Maison, they have added a French flair to their menu. This is a fairly new restaurant, and is not heavily advertised, so it's a little easier to get a table, but you will still need a reservation in advance

For an authentic western mining town atmosphere, this is the place to go. They have good food and good service and the décor will make you feel like you're in Telluride. This is also a good place to hang out at the bar if you're waiting for a table at Brown Dog Pizza.

Brown Dog is a Telluride staple that you must visit. They specialize in Detroit style pizza, which is excellent. Expect to wait an hour or two for a table, so go put your name in, and have a drink at last dollar saloon (the buck) or Floradora and they will text you when your table is ready.

The best view in Mountain Village, and perhaps all of Telluride. Directly across the street from the condo, it's a very short walk. The food is excellent, however, the service can be a little slow. Since you will be enjoying a spectacular view, it really shouldn't matter. If you can't make it here for dinner, be sure to have a cocktail on their patio that has the same fantastic view.

Located in Mountain Village, this is the sister restaurant to Rustico, but a little more casual. I prefer the pizza here rather than Crazy Elk, both of which are in the village. They do have take out if you're tired from a long day of skiing and want to chill by the fireplace in the condo.

getting around mountain village and telluride
Everything in Mountain Village is walkable from the condo. Most choose to utilize the free gondola to the town of telluride, which can be boarded at Heritage Plaza, just a 3-minute walk from the condo. This will take you to a central location in the Town of Telluride, or to the Market Plaza in Mountain Village. Parking is very limited in the town of Telluride, and it takes about 20 minutes to drive there. The gondola will get you there in 12 minutes.

Masks, clothing
Masks are no longer required at businesses in Mountain Village and Telluride, as well as the restaurants on the mountain. The mask mandate has been lifted for riding the gondola. Please enjoy the fresh air!!!
In the summer, I recommend bringing a sweater or jacket as it does cool off in the evening. A sweat shirt for an early morning hike is good, and bring water.

Altitude sickness
To help avoid altitude sickness, drink lots of water. The water out of the faucet is actually better than from a Dasani bottle. Also, use the humidifiers. I have found that they help you stay hydrated, and you wake up feeling refreshed.

The guidebook on the counter, inside the condo, has additional useful information such as where the local pharmacy is, internet access, where the local ATM is, and check out instructions. If you have additional needs, please don't hesitate to contact your host.

Cheap eats
If you're looking to eat cheap, the Cornerhouse grill in the town of Telluride has nightly specials, including "Taco Tuesday" and a burger special on Friday. Check their website for the latest info. For inexpensive lunch in mountain village, your best bets are The Pick, which has Burrito's and Burrito bowls, or the Shake N Dog, which is mainly hotdogs. both are a two minute walk from the condo.
