Love, love, love this local spot that is just one block from our home! This extremely people and pet friendly cafe is open Weds-Sunday from 8am-2pm for delicious, fresh and healthy breakfast and lunch choices in a casual, beachy setting with local art for sale and seating inside and outside. It's so nice to just walk to grab coffee, and the owner and employees are very nice! Definitely recommend!!

It's a fun drive-in style place to order a variety of hot dogs, burgers, fries, and breaded vegetables. My favorite to order is their chili cheese dog and a side of the breaded cauliflower with ranch dipping sauce. Yum!! The whole family will love it, too!

It is always on my list of must stops when I come back to MC and have noticed that there are many others like me that moved away and miss it. It's a fun drive-in style place to order a variety of hot dogs, burgers, fries, and breaded vegetables. My favorite to order is their chili cheese dog and a side of the breaded cauliflower with ranch dipping sauce. Yum!! The whole family will love it, too!

Swingbelly's is a great place if you want variety for picky eaters, great service, family friendly, and good prices and specials. You really can't go wrong with this choice and it's not a far drive from our house either. They also have a small outdoor patio.

I just tried this place a few weeks ago for the first time and my new favorite go to place!! It is a cozy, casual setting for wine tasting of a nice variety either standing at the bar with one of the awesome, knowledgeable yet down-to-earth owners or at your table at your own pace and with 3, 2 oz samplings of your choice.
Their pizzas are excellent (#2 is my favorite!!) and salads were so fresh and big enough to share.
I love the vibe in this place that is run strictly by the husband and wife team, who make this place even better because you can tell that they are truly good people! 5 stars 🌟

Great place that uses organic, local and sustainable ingredients to create delicious appetizers, entrees and sides. I love the PRIDE that is passionately displayed throughout the establishment as well. The salmon cakes were delicious and hope they keep them on their menu!!

It is such a down to earth place with beautiful beaches and natural sand dunes, friendly people, outlet shopping, Blue Chip Casino, Uptown Art District with cool shops and great restaurants, a winery, a National and State Park close by , plus a beautiful change of seasons to enjoy!
Great place to explore, take in the views of the historic lighthouse and spend time fishing along the pier. Make sure to have a fishing license and a lot of patience-the fish can sometimes be a tease.(:

Classic Michigan City Bars
This is the oldest tavern in MC and a must visit establishment! I love helping to keep places alive and running and supporting local businesses! This is one place that just feels good to hang out in! I have gone occasionally over the past 2 decades and it is now one of my go to spots to hang out and have a beer, a Rueben sandwich, homemade French fries, excellent and friendly customer service and great music certain days of the week or month. It is a small establishment and I love that I can carry on a conversation with friends or family and hear them because it is not overly crowded with tables.
The owner definitely takes pride in this place and really cares about what his patrons think. Love it and will be supporting regularly!
