Approximately 24 miles away, the historic Cathedral City of Salisbury in Wiltshire is an exceptional place to visit and explore. The Cathedral itself is an amazing and beautiful example of architecture and history. Salisbury Cathedral's version of the Magna Carta is one of four that remain in existence from the original 1215 charter. King John issued Magna Carta after agreeing peace terms with a band of rebel barons, and it is now one of the world's most celebrated legal documents. If you have time during your stay we highly recommend visiting this special place and enjoying its history.

Neighbourhoods

The Saxon era Nature Reserve of Hengistbury Head is one of Dorset’s most beautiful areas. With beaches, numerous walks and the Hungry hiker at one end and the Beach House bar and eatery at the other, it really is a place not to be missed. Easily walked direct from your location, take a strolling route from the duck pond across the fields and walk ways or take the shorter route by the golf course. Or if you can drive and park in the local car park right by the Hungry Hiker. We highly recommend a visit!
