Sightseeing
Wallabies Point and Saltwater are even more secluded than Old Bar. Beautiful beaches and nature reserves. The river inlet is a great spot to take young kids and toddlers if you want to avoid the surf.

Another gem in the area is Manning Point. On your way out their you’ll pass through the quiet communities of Oxley Island and Mitchell’s Island. If you love your fresh seafood or need fishing supplies stop at Bohnock Bait and Tackle.
Manning Point town itself is as quaint as it gets. But best of all, if you have a capable 4WD, you’ll find access to the beach via the town. Get yourself a beach pass from the Holiday Park or Bohnock Bait and Tackle and enjoy!
Remember to check the tides before driving out onto the beach, you don’t want to get stuck!!!

This place can not be understated! The tree canopy is something you’d expect in to see in a prehistoric rainforest. The giant strangler figs are an incredible sight, totally awe inspiring and a great photo opportunity to stand amongst them.

Wingham Brush Nature Reserve
Farquhar StreetThis place can not be understated! The tree canopy is something you’d expect in to see in a prehistoric rainforest. The giant strangler figs are an incredible sight, totally awe inspiring and a great photo opportunity to stand amongst them.
Boardwalks connect several walking tracks to aid your exploration of the subtropical lowland rainforests. Keep an eye out for the vulnerable grey-headed flying fox roosting sites, and the sunset spectacle as they set out looking for food.
At 200 metres, Ellenborough Falls is the tallest single drop waterfall in New South Wales and amongst the tallest in the southern hemisphere.

Wingham is a wonderful little town you need to visit to appreciate, and there’s a lot more to experience than expected.
For Cafes, try Garden Grub Cafe or Bent On Food. Food is exceptional at both and coffee is good too.
Wingham Museum is a must see for local heritage and those lovers of history. The antique stores and Op shops are worth it too. Wingham Brush Nature Reserve is by far the most incredible and unexpected sight in Wingham, you’ll forgot you’re in regional NSW. So much so, it deserves it’s own section in this little guidebook.
