If you don't have a lot of time but want to experience the White Mountains, this is the place to go. See the ruins of "The Old Man on the Mountain", view waterfalls, kayak Echo Lake, and maybe even take a hike on the Appalachian Trail where it passes through. Cannon Mountain has a ski resort during the winter, and the tram still operates during the summer if you want to check out the view. One hour directly North on I-93.

See the ruins of "The Old Man on the Mountain", view waterfalls, kayak Echo Lake, and maybe even take a hike on the Appalachian Trail where it passes through. Cannon Mountain has a ski resort during the winter, and the tram still operates during the summer if you want to check out the view. One hour directly North on I-93.

This is a heavily trafficked trail, so if you're expecting solitude I would recommend one of the other Belknap Mountains, like Rowe.
