Malham cove is a spectacular piece of natural architecture! There is a steep walk up the stairs to get to the top but the views are most definitely worth it. With little cafes and pubs in the nearby village it's a great day out for a sunny or even a rainy day!

Ilkley moor is only a short cycle or a beautiful walk away. You can get to moor via Shipley Glen and it takes about an hour and a half to walk over to Ilkley. REMEMBER: bring sun cream and water for this one!

Hangingstone RoadIlkley moor is only a short cycle or a beautiful walk away. You can get to moor via Shipley Glen and it takes about an hour and a half to walk over to Ilkley. REMEMBER: bring sun cream and water for this one!

This is a little jewel and it's just across the bridge from the house. Hirst wood reservation area is an outside space dedicated to nature.

I live directly on the Leeds/Liverpool canal. The canal stretches 204km in total and is a great day out for walkers. There are pubs and towns along the canal that you can veer off to for a rest and a well earned pint.

Saltaire is a UNESCO world heritage site. So named after Sir Titus Salt who build the quaint town to house his workforce, it has a rich millinery and trade history. You can learn more about it at Salt's Mill which has a museum dedicated to the people of Saltaire and its trade.
Watch out for the little statues of Alpacas around the town!

Another great place for coffee. Joel makes lush fresh cups and is situated right next to the station. He also runs a refill, eco shop downstairs and sells beautiful handmade wares.

If you need a great curry (Bradford is famous for them!) this is local, does take out and makes some utterly delicious food.

If you are looking for a high end dinner one evening, I can not recommend this place highly enough. Small, hidden with incredible service, wine and food. The prices are high but they reflect the level of food and if you ask me are so worth it. REMEMBER TO BOOK- to avoid disappointment

Salts mill holds a museum dedicated to the old Mill and the people who lived in Saltaire. There is also an art gallery (with works by David Hockney), a cafe/restaurant, a designer homewares shop and an amazing antiques treasure trove!

The central Saltaire train station stops at many useful places or scenic spots to make your stay more inviting. With direct links to Leeds and Bradford, you can catch the train to a vast amount of surrounding areas. There are also links to Skipton, Harrogate, Ilkley etc etc.
