Taxis in Agadir

Taxis in Agadir are the cheapest way to get around. Make sure to know which ones to take, otherwise you will pay more than you have to. From town to town it is wise to use a community taxi. Those are white and yellow taxis, that you share with other people. From the Agadir taxi station "Badwar" to our hostel you only have to pay 7 Dirhams each way during the day, and 10 Dirhams at night. If you want to get around inside the city of Agadir, you have to take a red taxi. The red taxis are more expensive, but make sure to tell the taxi driver to turn on his taxometer.

Taxis in Aourir and to Taghazout

In Aourir the best way to get around are the black taxis. Black taxis are a little bit hard to identify at the beginning, but if you stand around on the side of the road looking like you need a taxi, they will either honk at you or use their flashlight so you know they will take you. Around Aourir you only pay around 3 Dirham each. If you want to get out of Aourir up to the North like Taghazout, there are community black taxis, that are waiting next to the first roundabout where all the banks are. To Taghazout you pay 5 Dirham during the day and around 8 Dirham at night.

Souk

When you go to a Souk, be sure to always negotiate the prices with the seller. The first price they give you will always be way too high. The price you should have to pay is most of the time 1/3 of the price the seller tells you at the beginning.

Respectful Clothes

In Morocco the culture is different than in the Northern Regions of the world. Make sure to bring clothes to cover your shoulders and knees if you want to be respectful of the Moroccan culture in public places. Exception is the beach, there you can walk around in your swimsuit, but Moroccans are also not very fond of nudity on the beach.
