There are many galleries and museums in Split but this is by far the most outstanding. Mestrovic was a student of Rodin and is one of the most celebrated artists of Croatia. Sculptures are stunning and beautifully displayed in the artist's summer home on the banks of the Adriatic just outside the city center.
