Similar to Mission Bay taka offers a lot of sightseeing fresh air and food places. You will need a car to get there though are you cannot cycle walk or scooter over the harbor bridge (unless you want a DUI)

Get a HOP card for public transport
If you are staying in Auckland for a long time we reckon getting a HOP card is the cheapest way to travel on Buses, trains, and ferries.

Uber is easy
If you cbf with public transport just use ride-sharing services.
We have Uber (most expensive) Ola (sometimes cheap sometimes not) and Zoomy (always the cheapest, but sometimes limited vehicles)

The Sky Tower
Although a bit of a tourist trap, it's not super expensive to go up the sky tower, and the views are pretty mean.

Great restaurants perfect for a kiwi date night, and good nightlife. It's right on the harbor front where all the boats are.
