Hikes
Colorado Springs is where the desert plateau of New Mexico, the flat agricultural lands of the mid-west collide with the rockies . We have selected some hikes that are both for the avid hiker and the hate the hiker, love the view at the top types and everyone in-between!
This is about ten minutes from the house and has tons of amazing views and fun trails - both for the avid hiker and none. The naturally occurring rock formations are both breathtaking and inspiring.

This is one of our favorite spots for two reasons: the soaking tubs at Sun Water spa which uses the famous mineral waters of the region to fill their amazing outdoor cedar tubs. Also, in the warmer months the penny arcade is a blast. It has vintage games and is a fun visit for all ages. We recommend the horse races!

Sightseeing
Pikes Peak is the only 14,000 ft mountain that you can drive to the top of and believe it or not at the top is a wonderful donut shop with obviously the best views of both the rest of the Front Range and the entire Colorado Springs. The trip up can be quite harrowing in terms of elevation change and road conditions so beware!
