High-end coffee and Modern Australian fare, plus house-made condiments, in a relaxed, compact locale. The owners’ penchant for puns is just the beginning of Fleetwood Macchiato’s appeal. This small cafe is built around a passion for creating food from scratch. The cakes, yoghurts, preserves, pickles and sodas are all made in-house. Owners Tara Byrne and Jai Pyne met working at former Darlinghurst cafe Forbes & Burton. They joined forces in 2012, to create one of the neighbourhood’s most popular spots. Inside, there’s plenty of character – wooden panelling, water glasses made from old bottles and a striking mural in green and peach hues. Dishes on the all-day menu are beautifully presented,
