I grew on Roosevelt Island, so I encourage all visitors to take the trip. It is a hidden oasis of the city, and the Tram offers stunning views. When you are there, you can visit the beautiful Four Freedoms Park on the southern end, or the quaint Lighthouse Park at the northern tip.

The Public Theater is the home to the original productions of Hair, A Chorus Line, Angels in America, and Hamilton. It’s a beautiful building with several stages and a lovely bar/library upstairs.
