Vineyards
Poderi Crisci is a great spot for a special occasion. Only accessible by car, drive about 20minutes beyond Onetangi. Here, you'll feel like you're driving into the beautiful valleys of Tuscany, pathways bound with lavender and an old stone cottage, Poderi Crisci do fabulous food and great long lunches. Perfect if you have a big group and can share a taxi so you can drink on or two more ;)

Tantulus Vineyard is one of Waiheke's newest vineyards with an absolutely stunning interior decor. Make sure to check out Alibi, the bar the sits underneath the restaurant. The bar reminds me of an old underground wine cellar with a vaulted brick ceiling and brass accents. After a wine, ask the waiters to point you in the direction of the garden pathways. If you're feeling extra adventurous, head onto the vineyard track that will take you along the olive and grape vines between 4 of Waihekes most popular vineyards. Make sure to take a hat, and put on some sunblock.

The owners of the land have been making honey for years, and have only just recently opened the cafe after spending much Tim regenerating the bushland that surrounds their property. If you have a car, this is lovely place for a quick stop, for a honey tasting and a coffee before heading down to Onetangi for a swim.

After a walk and a dip make sure to get a classic Kiwi Scoop Ice-cream from the local palm beach store. You can't miss it!

Onetangi is very different to Enclosure and Palm Beach. This is the largest beach on Waiheke with a beautiful long expanse. Onetangi is best visited on a quite and calm day (to avoid the tourists). Check out the local spots, Charlie Farley's for a bevy and some food.

Great Walks of Waiheke
#1 Hands down the most beautiful walk on Waiheke! This is not a loop walk so you can start from one end or the other. Owhanake Bay and around the headlands and back to Matiatia Wharf or vice versa.

#1 Hands down the most beautiful walk on Waiheke! This is not a loop walk so you can start from one end or the other. Owhanake Bay and around the headlands and back to Matiatia Wharf or vice versa.

E-Bikes! What an awesome way to get around the island! Waiheke is extremely hilly, don't think you'll be able to walk everywhere because you won't!
