Park Slope is where our apartment is located and is one of the most sought after neighborhoods in Brooklyn (we may be biased). The streets are tree lined with tons of great eats and beautiful Prospect Park.

The Chinatown outside of Manhattan. We prefer visiting this neighborhood over Manhattan’s Chinatown as the food is always fresh and you won’t get bogged down by purse sellers.

Sightseeing
This is one of our personal favorites. This botanical garden is good to visit during all seasons. In springtime you can enjoy the cherry blossom trees, in summer the expansive rose garden, and in fall the beautiful changing leaves. They have a whole indoor room just full of bonsai trees!

Brooklyn Botanic Garden
This is one of our personal favorites. This botanical garden is good to visit during all seasons. In springtime you can enjoy the cherry blossom trees, in summer the expansive rose garden, and in fall the beautiful changing leaves. They have a whole indoor room just full of bonsai trees!
This park is beautiful with long walking paths and multiple peers overlooking the Manhattan skyline. You can access The Brooklyn Bridge nearby too.

This is considered “The Central Park of Brooklyn” by locals. This large park has expansive walking and biking trails along fields, woods, and a lake. This is a great place to enjoy a picnic and, in the summer, they have many free evening events like live music and movies on the lawn.

This is our favorite ice-cream spot in the city. They have a wide variety of homemade and interesting flavors. This is a local favorite so the line can be long, but it moves fast and is totally worth it!! This particular location is within walking distance from our apartment.

This is a small, quaint restaurant with amazing food. We recommend visiting for a late lunch/early dinner to beat the crowd. They literally have THE BEST mozzarella sticks we’ve ever had. (we highly recommend them). They also have traditional deep dish pizza that you’ll have to wait 40 min for -but totally worth it.
