One long walk option: From Vatsa, to walk towards the West, you may take a self driven free platform to cross to the other side of the river. From there you can walk through the amazing scenery, great for birdwatching, towards the picturesque lighthouse of Gerogombos. At some point, you come to the Lagadakia pebble beach, lost in between the rocky cliffs on the sea side

Another long walk option: From Vrahinari, to walk towards the South East, follow the rocky coastal flatlands, continue on a small meandering road until you arrive at Kounopetra. Kounopetra is a peninsula with a tiny fishing harbour and great views of the East part of Kefalonia, including Mount Ainos. In the vicinity towards the East, you will find a restaurant and Kounopetra Beach. This beach has sandy shallow waters to swim in and the clay mud at one end of the beach is good for skin peeling

Great food! This restaurant may be away from the beach, although it enjoys sea views, but the main attraction is the food and the service! Recommended!
