Super Close Deli Spots
If you're not from here you may not understand our love of hoagie. It has to do with the right type of roll, and some high quality fixins. These are some super close spots that either make great hoagies, or sell the stuff you'll need to make one.
Their hoagies are DELICIOUS! Perfect roll, boars heads meats, traditional pre-made pasta and potato salads. They also have some random groceries like chocolate milk, eggs, frozen pasta, and ice cream.

It is what it is. They don't have anything I would consider a real hoagie but its close and has some basic necessities. If you're a big soda fan look out for the sugar tax and maybe bring a case of it with yah ;-)

Walkable Restaurants
We live real close to a corridor of shops and businesses called East Passyunk. Just walk straight up if you want a good selection of restaurants and a feel for the locals.
Awesome good. My favorite place to eat, check out the menu but if you're in to mexican its not traditional or anything but its real good and they have some good specials when theres games going on.

Great food and beer selection. Food can be on the more expensive side considering the portions but it definitely isn't bar food. They always have some interesting things on the menu too.

Awesome Attactions
These are things I take my friends to do when they are in town. Some of them are just locations to hang out, others are full on activities. Majority of them are a subway trip away, some of them walking distance to the house.
First Food Market

An awesomely inconspicuous museum thats often overlooked. Not very expensive, could be a quick stop after eating at the Redding Terminal. Really interested exhibits.

Great food but also nice for spices, light souvenir stuff like fancy chocolates and candies. Its also not far from China town.

A local Coffee Shop and venue spot. They have some underground diy style shows and offer some snacks and beverages during the day. Neat spot to chill if you want to get some work done but don't like the Starbucks vibe.

Located on South Street which in general is a good location to check out if you've got the time and a desire to walk around and discover. Tattooed Moms has a some rad furniture and decor on the first floor, and a lot of graffiti, pool tables, and old bumper cars on the second. Great spot to chill after wandering up South Street.

Bar and Venue with a small snack style food menu. A quick 2 min Subway ride away and located right on Broad Street, a lot of great bands play here. And I feel like they always hook it up with a great Gin and Tonic.

Outdoor Jawns
Some outdoor spots to anyone looking for 0-low cost spots to ride a bike, take a walk, or get to know some of the local nature vibes.
A nice 15-20 minute walk straight down Broad Street for a diverse little park to hang out outdoors. Theres a few buildings neat to take photos with, and the whole park is surrounding a manmade(most likely) park of a decent size. Spots to hang out under the trees and picnic, tennis and baseball fields (although I'm not sure when they're open), and a great scenic walking path not too far out of the city. Saturdays and Sundays theres always some version of a food market all the way at the end of the circle, likely only during decent weather. Also an area towards the end with some halfpipes and skating equipment. Some people just go to graffiti and hang out under the freeway by the skate equipment. Not too secluded but a nice spot to closely get out of the direct city.
