Set in the Helix park, these amazing equine sculptures are well worth a visit. The attention to detail is quite incredible. Why not take a tour, taking you inside the sculptures and marvel at the amazing engineering involved in bringing this project together. A fairly recent addition is a visitors centre, where you can pick up some souvenirs and have a bite to eat. There's a great park for the kids to play in too.

With over 350 animals in the safari park, there's plenty talks and displays along with the sea lion presentation, which is definitely worth seeing. There's a small boat ride to Chimp island, fantastic play area for the kids, along with pedalos and the flying fox. There's a cafe onsite but also for something different, there's BBQ areas, if you fancy bringing your own. Fingers crossed for the weather though :)

Cambuskenneth Abbey and Bell Tower are absolute gems, hidden away from the usual tourist crowds, and set in a wonderfully quiet and beautiful location. The Abbey is a ruin, though the outline of the structure is still visible, but the Bell Tower, is still standing and you can go inside. There are many plaques around to tell what each area is believed to have been. it is only open from April to September.
