Park at the lookout along Table Cape Rd and walk 15 mins along the coast to the lighthouse or just drive around in about 2 mins straight to the lighthouse which is a left turn off Table Cape Rd before the lookout.

High tide is best but the sound of the birds, sights of the river banks and flowers is worth the stroll. 23 minutes from here to the bridge where you can decide to head back in town, continue along the river or cross and head up to Fossil Bluff.

Wynyard River Walk to Fossils Bluff.
Don't miss the opportunity to set out to Gutteridge Gardens and walk along the river all the way to the bridge and then back along the other side up to Fossils Bluff where you can view the lookout of Wynyard. The walk is exceptional because of the flowers, birds, wallabies and of course the Inglis River.
