Here is a list of my favorite local spots and tourist attractions in Southwest Missouri area.
Silver Dollar City is the BEST place in all of Branson (and the world in my opinion!) Set in 1880, this theme park has something for everyone in your family. I would definitely recommend getting a season pass because it will give you unlimited trips to the park; even if you do not think you will come back to Branson this year, you could go more than once this trip! Christmas time at SDC is pure magic, with more than 6.5 MILLION lights and a brand new 8 story Christmas Tree, there is nowhere else you'll want to be this holiday season. Branson Landing is your one-stop shopping destination. BL has everything you would want and need; restaurants, tourist places, jewelry shops, clothing boutiques , and even a zip-line and hot air balloon ride. Branson Landing is a MUST.

I've been to EIGHT Ripley's Odditoriums around the country and I can honestly say this Branson location is my favorite. A MUST see but I am a bit biased. (My dog's name is Ripley and I've got a Ripley's Pinball machine.)

A really impressive Wax Museum. I've been to many in my life and this one is excellent. Right next to it is a mini golf and Maze of Mirrors. You can do several things in this one spot!

This is a spectacular Ferris Wheel that originally came from Chicago. The light show at night, over 16,000 color changing LED lights, is a must see. Incredible. The brochure says "Ride 125 years of history." Over 240 people can ride the Wheel at the same time. The Wheel makes over 100 revolutions every day. It stands over 150 feet tall.

This is an absolute MUST for your teenage kids. A bit pricey but well worth the money. You really get your monies worth.

A wonderful historic museum dedicated to the Titanic. It has actual items from the Titanic. There is a replica of the Titanic that I recall cost more money to make than the actual ship. This really is an amazing place to take your older kids.

A wonderful, cozy locally owned place with the most incredible desserts and lunches. A little pricey but worth the extra money for the ambiance and quality of the food you'll get. A Key Lime Pie that is off the charts delicious.
