Excellent food! Great place to eat in Blanco in the town square. We have eaten breakfast and lunch here and were not disappointed.

Soooooo yummy! Don’t miss this spot! Small town though and when she’s out of food for whatever reason, the doors will close. Kolaches, muffins, scones, pies, coffee, cookies all home made and first rate delicious! NOW closed on Sunday and Monday. Usual hours are 8-2, but again, small town.

OMG! This place is to die for and well worth the wait. Don't walk away from this one because once you are seated you will be fed within 10 minutes or less! Just the best!

Very good all around food, a little bit of a wait but not too bad. Food is good, one of the best we have found in Wimberley and usually live music too. FYI: Bathroom amenities in Wimberley can be tricky so they have outdoor restroom buildings (whatever those are called!)

Sightseeing
This state park has phenomenal views and access to their river as well. Climbing on the bald rocks and just experiencing the views is worth it. About 30 miles from the cabin, give or take. Beautiful scenic drive to get there too.

A short hike takes you to see Jacob's Well, a natural area maintained by Hay's County. It is just on the edge of Wimberley and definitely worth checking out. It is open every day from 8am-6pm. No charge.

This place is very well visited. It has clear water, shaded by the huge cypress trees, rope swings and hiking trails too. When we went the water was very cool but sure was nice to kill the Texas heat! You should call to get reservations for a morning or afternoon or you might NOT get in. 1-512-847-0025. You can also do that on-line I believe.

Nice picnic area, swimming or just hanging in the water in your tubes enjoying the sunshine. It is one of the smaller State Parks, the river is beautiful, but not much hiking available.

Check their calendar on the web for special events. Old town western setting and lots of old buggy's and wagons. If you enjoy strolling through history it's great!

You've got to do this at least once. You probably won't make it through every building and vendor but you will be astounded at the variety and quantity of items for sale. They have food vendors on site as well as live bands too!

BYOB- cans acceptable but NO glass or styrofoam coolers. No underage drinking, the sheriff's department was in the river one time, checking cooler contents, etc. Certain times of the year the river flow is stronger and colder-just depends. LOVE, love this adventure!
