Parks & Nature
Walk the trails at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. The Lab is only about 10 minutes from The Nest, and the trails are well-groomed and easy to walk. You can also go to the Visitor Center and look at birds on the pond (mostly geese!), play with sounds in the sound studio, watch short movies in the Bartels Theater, see and explore the “Wall of Birds” mural, and other fun stuff. It’s free. They’re open 10 to 4 daily. As you head to Ithaca, take a left on Sapsucker Woods Road.

This is our local brewery, about a half-mile down the road from the Nest. Good beer and live music on Fridays during the summer, often with a food truck so you can have some food with your beer. Lots of outdoor tented seating, and large indoor seating, too. Try the Bee-have (made from honey) if you light lighter beers, or the Near Varna (if you like IPAs).
