We have lots of wonderful walking routes near the cottage but the Devils Pulpit, directly opposite us is on historic Offas Dyke is a must, the ancient border between England and Wales. Great climb up and wonderful views.

Tinterns original old railways station has parking and makes a good place to start a waymarked walk along the riverbank or further. As it is only about a mile from the cottage its easy to walk there and back enjoying the spectacular Wye Valley scenery. There is a cafe in summer and a childrens play area and sometimes music on the platform in summer.

The Old Station Tintern
Tintern HeightsTinterns original old railways station has parking and makes a good place to start a waymarked walk along the riverbank or further. Cycle hire in a wonderful forest setting. Bikes suitable for all ages and abilities. Trails also varied and suitable for mountain bikers and also for those seeking an easy pedal.
