A complete DIVE. The Cafe and Bar are connected to one another. Just a good example of a local, old, decrepit establishment. Decent cafe food, often horrible wall art, and plenty o' Portland color.

Nothing to recommend it at all. A local sports bar. Completely funky, run-down. A real hole. Drunks. One sign misspelled. TV's. Pool, video poker. Also a popular n-hood joint, for whatever reason.....

Funny that two of the few GOOD Pizza joints here have NY connections. Coincidence ? I think not. NY-style pizza: nice BIG, oily slices; combo specials, cheap beer, friendly staff, outdoor seating.

Portland doesn't do good Pizza. A known fact. BUT this place is run by a native NY'er (like George !) who knows his stuff. Hybrid east-west coast style, crispier crust, interesting toppings. Yum.

Right around the corner, run by a wonderful couple formerly of Austin. Great coffee drinks, and they specialize in very yummy, home-made vietnamese-style stuffed morning buns. Oomph, good stuff.

One of our favorite Italian joints. Slightly upscale, but not hoidy-toidy or uber-pricey by any means. High quality fare, good bar, nice atmosphere.

A funny place ! I like it; they try for a bit more upscale Thai experience (at least by PDX standards). A lotta stuff is really GOOD; it's just... the menu and staff can be downright odd at times :)

A park ! This one's flat. Grass, trees, tennis and basketball courts. Also, Crows. Lotsa people sunning themselves. A younger, more hipper park than Laurelhurst, which is more family-esque.
